The Bank of Scotland (Ireland) have selected Fast Track Room Booking for their

it after trialling the software and finding the singe sign-on feature of
particular use. Flint Bishop & Barnett Solicitors have also ordered Fast Track
Room Booking to help manage their offices throughout the East Midlands.

The Planned Preventative Maintenance package offered by iiS has been purchased
by York Racecourse along with Oxfordshire office and conferencing facilities
provider, Baptist House.
3 new Room Booking customers - Connecting for Health, KITS & Action for
Business
Connecting for Health, the internal IT consultancy of the NHS decided upon Fast
Track Room Booking as the system most suitable for managing its rooms and
spaces. Any organisation responsible for "delivering new, integrated IT systems
and services to help modernise the NHS" has make sure it finds the right
software and after performing extensive testing of a wide range of system it was
obvious that iiS provided the solution of choice. Fast Track Room Booking has
also been ordered by Kirkdale Industrial Training Services to schedule its
meeting rooms, conference centres and equipment, and by Action for Business in
Bradford to manage their Carlisle Business Centre, which has 89 offices with

Casino and Bingo company Gala Group has chosen iiS planned maintenance software
to help it efficiently look after the 198 sites it has throughout the UK. Fast

Natures Way Foods. All ordered systems following trials of the user friendly
downloadable package. JCA Group, a provider of Building Engineering Services has
chosen both Fast Track Help Desk & PPM on which to run its central support
system and schedule help field service engineers on client sites.
Five more companies go for iiS Room Booking systems
The University of Hull and Hackney Community College are two more
educational facilities that iiS can add to its client list following their
decisions to implement Fast Track Room Booking. Midlands based charity,
Birmingham Voluntary Service Council, also found the software to be worth
purchasing after comparing it to competing systems and finding it easier to use
and much better value for money. Two organisations based in the US, St Philip
the Apostle Church and Ingham Regional Medical Centre, also decided to go with
the system following extensive testing of the downloadable package.

Global management consulting and technology services company, Accenture, has
chosen iiS as the solution provider for its new Room Booking system in its
Warwickshire offices. The solution will be used to manage the booking of all
meeting and conference rooms and for the hot-desking of work spaces. iiS is very
pleased to be working with Accenture on this project and that a leading
technology consultancy chose our Room Booking software.

Sortex Ltd, a world leader in sorting machinery for the food industry has

iiS Help Desk Business Benefits seminar a complete success
At iiS’s recent London seminar, discussions focussed on the main Help Desk
issues and the benefits which can be brought to facilities management when the
latest solutions are deployed. The benefits discussed derive from cost savings
and automation: saving time and money.
Keynote speaker Philip Russell, Managing Director of Mapeley, reviewed both the
traditional and modern approaches to help desk and service management in his
speech “From Cost Centre to Profit Centre - The Power of the Helpdesk”. Phillip
also presented and overview of Mapeley Ltd, and how the modern approach to help
desk had enabled the savings of millions of pounds managing the estates of the
Inland Revenue and Customs & Excise.
Discussing how the use of the right Help Desk has considerably helped the
company in maintaining its 1900 properties with over 90,000 staff, Phillip
covered such issues as the empowering of staff to make decisions, including
financial ones, and the importance of streamlined performance measurement.
Phillip also indicated that, in his experience, services such as FM have a
higher profile in the USA when compared to the UK, but that the tendency is for
the perceived value of UK services to be increasing.
The iiS FM consultancy team then demonstrated how a help desk can greatly
improve responsiveness, shorten communication trails through automatic email
updates, and generally cut costs through automation. BIFM I.T. Steering Group
member Mike Dowling presented mobile asset data gathering, including a case
history of a project at the Royal Courts of Justice. Mobile computers,
especially hand-helds, can speed up accurate data acquisition enormously. Mike
explained how many help desk initiatives falter because of inaccurate or missing
space and asset data. It seems that mobile operations are bound to become a big
part of FM, as staff members can contribute accurate information at any time,
not just when they are sitting at their desks.
